CTIA Certification Home >Patent ->CTIA Certification

  CTIA certification is a battery certification project in the United States. The full name of CTIA is the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (also known as The Wireless Association ), and the Chinese call it the "American Wireless Communications and Internet Association . " Since these wireless communications products have, without exception, the use of the battery, so CTIA battery also has stringent certification requirements. Today, CTIA battery certification has become a mandatory entry requirement for North American telecom operators. The standards are based on IEEE  1625 (Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Portable Computers ) and IEEE  1725 ( Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Mobile Phones ) . They test, approve and certify batteries, battery packs, adapters and complete systems. In addition, the certification also requires a factory audit of the battery manufacturer, that is, the key processes of the battery production process and its quality control, quality system and technical capabilities.

CTIA battery certification process:

1. The applicant signs a contract with the laboratory

2. The applicant applies for an account online through the CTIA database.

3. The applicant submits the certification application to CTIA through the CTIA database .

4. The applicant selects the laboratory online as a CATL to evaluate IEEE 1725 compliance.

5. The applicant submits a declaration of conformity.

6. The applicant receives CTIA 's Invoice and pays CTIA .

7. The applicant submits the required samples and documents to the laboratory.

8. The laboratory conducts the evaluation and finally uploads the evaluation report to CTIA .

9. After the evaluation report is uploaded, CTIA and the applicant sign an agreement.

10. CTIA recognizes the subsystem or system when all steps are completed.

11.After approval, you can view the certified subsystem or system information online .

Power supply, UPS, transformer

Power supply (Power Supply), generally called uv power adapter (Adapter), if it is distinguished by the output voltage, it can be divided into boost or buck; if it is distinguished by the design technology, it can be divided into traditional linear Power supply (Linear Adapter / Power Supply), or switching power supply (Switching Adapter / Power Supply); if distinguished by the final application location, it can also be divided into stand-alone (Stand-alone) or embedded (Built-in); Finally, according to the input / output current, it can be divided into:

AC to AC,

AC to DC,

DC to AC,

There are four types of DC to DC.

Common uv electrodeless power supplies on the market can be divided into the following types according to their application range:

Information / Communications: Used in audio and video for information or communication products. Such as LCD Monitor, Scanner, Printer, FaxMachine, Modem Digital Camera, etc .;

Audio and video products: applied to the power supply of audio and video products, such as CD Player, DVD Player, radio cassette recorder, game console, and LCD TV;

General Use: If it is not specified what kind of product is used, and it is a general-purpose power supply, it is mostly used in household appliances;

Charger (Charger): generally refers to the charger of a general rechargeable battery, such as a mobile phone or digital camera professional charger. The spray gun manufacturer will consider categorizing this type with information products;

Inverter (Power Inverter): Refers to products whose input is low voltage (such as 12VDC connected to a car battery) and whose output is high voltage 120VAC or 230CAC.

Uninterrupted uv intelligent variable frequency power supply: rectify the mains electricity to direct current, and then invert to alternating current output; at the same time charge the battery. When the mains power is interrupted, the battery will automatically output DC inverter to AC output to the device. The English abbreviation is UPS.

International certification requirements related to product certification

The power supply reduces the mains power supply or lowers the low voltage to the mains voltage, so there are two versions of 100-120VAC and 200-240VAC. The small uv electronic power supply is mostly designed to be directly plugged into the wall. Globally, many types of plugs are also considered.

Power supply regulations usually meet safety (Safety) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, of which safety specifications are more complex, electromagnetic compatibility will only cause greater trouble when switching Power Supply, Linear Power Supply is very There are few EMC problems.

When the power supply supplies power to different products, the regulations and standards that it should comply with are also different. In principle, the products to be used in conjunction with it determine the regulations and standards that need to be met.
